VN vows to amend policy to attract resources

VGP – National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan said that Viet Nam has worked to perfect the legal system in line with reality in an effort to attract domestic and foreign resources.

The top legislator hosted a reception for Singaporean businesses which are doing business in Viet Nam. 

The Chairwoman was in Singapore for an official visit at the invitation of her Singaporean counterpart Tan Chuan Gin.

Addressing the event, Ms. Ngan thanked Singaporean investors in Viet Nam. She affirmed that Singapore was an important partner of Viet Nam, the ninth largest trade partner and the third biggest investor in Viet Nam. 

The top legislator affirmed that domestic and FDI enterprises are regarded as the drivers of growth, better national competitiveness, and growth modal transformation.  

On behalf of the Singaporean business delegation, Mr. Wong Kan Seng Chairman of Ascendas Group warmly welcomed the NA Chairwoman and the Vietnamese high-ranking delegation and congratulated Viet Nam on successful hosting of the 2017 APEC Summit in Da Nang. 

The top legislator welcomed Singaporean businesses for their idea to beef up presence in Viet Nam such as urban transformation, infrastructure investment, educational investment, vocational training, building of global brand names. 

National Assembly Chairwoman Ngan said that Viet Nam has been perfecting the legal system in line with reality in an effort to attract domestic and foreign resources.

Viet Nam, said the Chairwoman, owns abundant potentials and advantages for further cooperation with Singapore. The Vietnamese National Assembly would issue policies which would create the most favourable conditions for foreign enterprises in general and Singapore’s ones in particular to do business./.
