Sixth plenary meeting of Party Central Committee concludes

Speaking at the closing ceremony, Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong hailed crucial contributions of delegates to reports and plans of the meeting. 

On behalf of the Political Bureau, Party chief Nguyen Phu Trong reviewed key outcomes of the meeting with contents related to the socio-economic performances in 2017-2018, protection and care for people’s lives, population work in the new situation, issues on renovation and re-arrangement of organizations in the political system and renovation of the public non-business units. 

Over the recent two years, the whole political system has resolutely fulfilled strategic tasks including the socio-economic development, guaranty of the national defense and security, establishment of a strong and transparent Party and political system, expansion of diplomatic relations and improvement of Viet Nam’s prestige and status in the world. 

The implementation of tasks and missions set by the 12th Party Congress has become a widespread nationwide revolution, receiving active response and participation from all the people, creating impetus for renovation and establishment of a rich, strong, democratic, fair and civilized nation, asserted Mr. Trong. 

He proposed strictly realizing resolutions and conclusions of the sixth plenary meeting to uphold achievements and overcome obstacles and shortcomings to gain success for the 2017-2018 phase and the upcoming years.
