Deputy PM Minh acknowledged the new developments in the traditional ties between Viet Nam and Kazakhstan in various fields.

The host leader proposed the two countries work together to prepare for the upcoming official visit of Vietnamese National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan. This would be the first overseas trip of the Vietnamese top legislator to Kazakhstan, thus making important contribution to strengthening ties among the two parliamentary bodies and the bilateral ties.

Deputy PM Minh suggested the two sides boost exchanges of delegations at all levels and conduct political consultations to cement and deepen mutual understanding and cooperative efficiency; work together at the UN and multi-lateral forums especially in the context that Kazakhstan is a non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council in the 2017-2018 tenure.

Mr. Minh said that the implementation of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) brought about initial positive changes in economic and commercial ties among the two countries. The two-way trade turnover between Viet Nam and Kazakhstan doubled and was the largest in comparison with those of the rest EAEU member states. Hence, the host leader recommended the two sides assess the one-year implementation of the EAEU and draw lessons.

On this occasion, Mr. Minh congratulated Kazakhstan for successful organization of the EXPO-2017 Astana and hoped to continue to receive further support from the Central Asian nation in trade and business.

In his part, Ambassador Beketzhan Zhumakhanov also hoped to work closely with Vietnamese ministries and agencies to promote the traditional ties in line with aspiration of the two Governments and peoples./.
