APEC 2017 SMEs Ministerial Meeting to be held next week

VGP – A press conference was organized on September 5 introducing the organization of the APEC 2017 Small and Medium Enterprises Ministerial Meeting (SMEMM) and related Meetings, which will be held on September 15 by the Business Development Department, under the Ministry of Planning and Investment.

PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc is expected to deliver a speech at an opening ceremony of the meeting in Ho Chi Minh City.

Three main topics of the meetings include facilitating businesses to get access to market and join in the global value chain, creating a favorable environment for SMEs and micro-enterprises by helping them access technology, management and capacity enhancement through training, consultancy and business connections as well as enhancing the APEC business spirit in the digital era: promotion of start-ups and business ethics.

The SMEMM Week will be organized from September 10-15 in Ho Chi Minh City with the focus being the 24^th SMEMM.

The Minister of Industry and Trade will chair the event and the Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade will be the head of the Vietnamese delegation.
