The Provincial People’s Committees of Hoa Binh and Son La are responsible for announcing the addition of the respective road section running through their geographical boundary, and devising measures to arrange and manage the land fund for the route as stipulated.

The Son La People’s Committee is assigned to work with the Hoa Binh People’s Committee and relevant agencies to make investment preparations for the Hoa Binh – Moc Chau Expressway route in the form of public-private partnership (PPP), in order to evaluate the feasibility of the project and mobilise resources for the project implementation.

The Hoa Binh – Son La Expressway meets the Hoa Binh 4 Bridge project in Ky Son district’s Trung Minh commune at one end, and the Le Duc Tho Street in Son La city’s Chieng Sinh commune at the other end.

The aforementioned scope will connect Son La city and Hoa Binh city and bring the two national tourism areas in the region closer together, thereby creating a high-quality expressway longitudinal axis directly connecting the northwestern region and the capital city of Ha Noi.

Once completed, the Hoa Binh – Son La Expressway will contribute to boosting socio-economic development in the two provinces’ localities, whilst creating favorable conditions to fully tap into the potential and advantages of those localities. Particularly, the route will connect the two national tourism areas, the master plans for which have been approved by the PM, including the Hoa Binh Lake National Tourism Area in Hoa Binh and the Moc Chau National Tourism Area in Son La.
