Earlier, the Thai Binh Duong Shipbuilding Joint Stock Company and the Khien Ha Commercial Co., Ltd submitted their proposals alleging that the operations of their shipyards have been affected by the construction of a bridge across the Van Uc River in Hai Phong city.

The deputy PM has assigned the Ministry of Transport to work with the Hai Phong People’s Committee and relevant agencies to inspect and review the construction recommendations for the coastal road project in the form of public-private partnership, and report the results to the PM before September 20, 2017.

The coastal road route measures 29.7km long, including 20.7km through Hai Phong and 9km through Thai Binh.

Eight bridges will be installed on the road, with the two largest of them crossing the Van Uc and Thai Binh Rivers.
