Visa exemption for ordinary passport holders between VN, Chile

VGP - The Prime Minister has just approved the implementation plan of the agreement on visa exemption for ordinary passport holders between the Governments of Viet Nam and Chile.

Since August 11, 2017, citizens of both nations, who hold ordinary passports, with a validity of at least six months, are exempted from visas upon entry through international border gates. The visitors’ stay must not exceed 90 days from the date of entry and must not be for the purpose of generating income.

For visitors who tend to stay for longer than 90 days, they must ask for permission from the authorized agencies of the receiving country.

The Ministry of Public Security, the Ministry of Defense, the Civil Aviation Authority of Viet Nam, the National flag carrier Viet Nam Airlines, and other Vietnamese overseas representative offices are responsible for cooperating to implement visa exemption for Vietnamese and Chilean holders of ordinary passports in line with the agreement.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs announces the content of the Agreement to all overseas representative offices of Viet Nam, especially the local airlines to facilitate the travel of the two nations’ citizens.
