VN Migration Profile 2016 makes debut

VGP –The Consular Department, under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the International Organization for Migration (IOM) announced the Viet Nam Migration Profile 2016 in Ha Noi on August 22.

Speaking at the event, head of the Consular Department Nguyen Minh Vu asserted that the enhancement of legal migration, prevention of illegal migration, guaranty of safe migration and protection of legal rights for immigrants are consistent policies of Viet Nam.

Viet Nam expects to promote cooperation with other nations in the region and the world in migration management for policy-making process serving the national development in the international integration process.

The file includes updated figures on migration flows in Viet Nam, analysis and evaluations on migration, proposing recommendations to improve migration management capacity and complete policies and laws as well as strengthen cooperative mechanisms between State agencies in this work.
