The program is one of three projects piloted by the Loyola University in Việt Nam this year.

Loyola University is the first US higher education institution to open a representative office in Việt Nam after it was licensed by the Ministry of Education and Training in February.

Doctor Patrick Boyle, Vice Rector in charge of international relations, said that developing positive relations between the US and Việt Nam will be a major topic of the university’s activities in Việt Nam.

He said his university will open training courses on English as a second language for the Hà Nội Medical University’s students.

Mr. Boyle also said that his university is planning a training program for Vietnamese university leaders, which will start by the end of this year or early next year.

He added that the representative office in Hồ Chí Minh City is the third overseas one of Loyola University.
