Launching JEDI program in Việt Nam

VGP- Sun Microsystems Inc. just announced to launch the training program Java Education and Development Initiative (JEDI). The project is aimed at providing Vietnamese students with standard skills of open-source technology.

The goal of JEDI is to supply free high quality documents on information technology (IT) and computer science to Việt Nam’s universities and colleges.

In recent years, Sun Microsystems has coordinated with the Ministry of Education and Training to release some successful programs and projects on IT application in teaching and learning. JEDI program is expected to help improving Vietnamese IT students’ competitiveness.

JEDI’s curricula were designed by IT experts in line with international education standards.

JEDI member organizations can access to all information sources to improve teaching and learning experience. By setting up the IT communities and encouraging skill and technology development among software developers, this cooperative project will promote Việt Nam’s growth rate.

IT professionals and experts of 30 universities and colleges nationwide will take part in the course carried out by Sun lecturers.
