Mr. Jonathan Moreno

In an interview with VPG, Jonathan said Viet Nam’s exports to the US grew strongly since the two countries inked the bilateral trade agreement since 2001. The two-way trade volume surpassed US$52 billion in 2016.

Viet Nam is the biggest exporter to the US in Southeast Asia, accounting for 26.6% of the bloc’s total export turnover to the US, according to Jonathan.

He said he expects innovations from the meeting between PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc and President Donald Trump in order to further beef up trade and investment cooperation between the two countries./.
