PM approves preservation plan for Hung Kings Temple Relic Site

Accordingly, the national special relic site will cover 845 hectares in Viet Tri city’s Hy Cuong,Chu Hoa and Van Phu wards; Lam Thao district’s Tien Kien commune and Phu Ninh district’s Phu Ninh commune.

The core zone of the relic site spans 32.2 hectares, consisting of Thuong (Upper) Temple, (Middle) Trung Temple, (Lower) Ha Temple and Gieng (Well) Temple, Thien Quang Pagoda, Hung King Tomb, a tower and a steeple. This zone will continue keeping  the relics and the system of stairs and green trees, landscapes and primary forest as they were.

The buffet zone covers 812.8 hectares, accommodating Van Mountain, Troc Mountain, the center of the festival, the Mau Lake landscape, the Hung Temple National Forest and the ecological landscape to the north, Hung King Tower, the Martyrs’ Monument and the Lac Long Quan Temple. The major development orientations for this zone are the architecture space, natural landscapes and the space for festivities and tourism services.

The plan aims to preserve, renovate, restore and promote the historical values, the natural landscapes and the ecological environment of the Hung Kings Temple Relic site, and orientate the master plan on management, construction, renovation, restoration and promotion of the relic site’s values.

It also seeks to establish memorial spaces dedicated to Hung Kings and predecessors in the era of Hung Kings, so that the Hung Kings Temple Relic Site will be a venue for the education of patriotic tradition and national solidarity, as well as an attractive tourist destination.

Under the plan, diverse tourist products will be developed in the principle of preserving and promoting the values of the relic, in association with facilitating socio-economic development, sustainable tourism development and the improvement of the local material and spiritual lives.
