Addressing the signing ceremony, Singaporean Minister of Culture, Community and Youth, Grace Fu, who also serves as the President of the NYC, noted that Singapore appreciated the role played by the youths of the ASEAN member nations, including Viet Nam, for their increasingly important positions in their respective countries.

The Singaporean youth will continue accompanying Viet Nam’s young people in the future in order to build a fine relationship between the two countries and together boost national development, Fu said.

First Secretary of the HCM Communist Youth Union Le Quoc Phong, who is also Chairman of the Vietnamese committee, stated that the signing of the MoU is the follow-up of success the two sides achieved in the past time.

He expressed hope that the signed contents will be implemented successfully, thus bringing practical values for the youth of both countries and contributing significantly to developing fine relations between the two countries.

Under the MoU, the two sides will continue maintaining delegation exchanges and sending delegates to major youth-related events in each country.

They will actively coordinate in organising voluntary activities for young people, while intensifying exchanges between young entrepreneurs and cooperation in start-ups.
