Agencies supporting National Committee for APEC 2017 set up

VGP - Deputy PM, FM Pham Binh Minh, who is Chairman of the National Committee for the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) 2017, has signed decisions on establishing the National Secretariat and three sub-committees, under the National Committee for APEC 2017.

Accordingly, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son serves as Head of the APEC 2017 National Secretariat and Chairman of the Senior Officials’ Meeting (SOM).

The three sub-committees will be in charge of contents, communications and culture, and protocol affairs.

The sub-committee for contents will set up plans and make preparations in terms of contents to serve for High-level Week 2017 and activities within the APEC forum in Viet Nam as well as coordinate with relevant ministries and agencies in establishing contents, agendas, reports, documents and letters of diplomacy for the event.

The sub-committee for communications and culture will be responsible for organizing, telecommunications and advertising activities related to the APEC 2017 in Viet Nam.

The sub-committee for protocol will select locations, register delegates and set up protocol activities for the event.
