VN holds first security world event

VNGOVNet – The Public Security Ministry’s Technological Department and the International Data Group (IDG) co-organized on March 20-21 in Hanoi the conference-showcase Security World 2007 under the theme “Securing network and protecting data for Vietnam’s governmental and private organizations in the era of WTO integration”.

The conference aimed to found an independent forum for governmental agencies, domestic and international organizations, enterprises, solution providers, and experts in network security and data protection to share experience from the actual implementation of network security and data protection in developed countries and Vietnam.

The major topics included: Vietnam network security and data protection outlook, legal framework, ICT infrastructure, development trends of security technologies and solutions, successful cases... The conference is expect to faciliate the realization of the Target Program on IT application and development, e-government system, IT applications in the performance of governmental bodies, ministries and sectors in different socio-economic fields.

The conference was accompanied by a showcase of over 20 famous software enterprises and providers. The exhibits were solutions, development models and experience in network security and data protection.
