VNPost opens int’l postal service center

VGP - The Viet Nam Post Corporation (VNPost) opened an international postal service center at the Noi Bai International Airport in Ha Noi on September 1.

The center will performs the task of exchanging international mails, mailers and parcels with the UPU community and exploiting postal services from and to Viet Nam as well as delivering and receiving incoming and outgoing packages directly to and from airlines

It targets to enhance the professionalism, effectiveness and quality of international postal services, contributing to implementing the sector’s commitments to the Universal Post Union (UPU), the World Customs Organization (WCO), and the International Air Transport Association (IATA). 

Located in an area of 2,700 m2, the center was installed with modern equipment in response to the Government’s policy on renovating, developing and modernizing the post sector.

According to a VNPost representative, the corporation will set up a system of 26 postal service centers across the country in an effort to modernize the country’s postal services./.
