VN to host APEC 2017

VGP - Viet Nam will host the Asia-Pacific Economic Co-operation (APEC) forum 2017, according to the Ministry of Foreign affairs.

This will be the second time in 10 years that Viet Nam hosts APEC. Through the event, Viet Nam hopes to promote its rich traditional culture and friendly people as well as to contribute to the development, peace, and prosperity of the Asia Pacific region.

Established in November 1989, the Asia-Pacific Economic Co-operation (APEC) forum now comprises 21 economies. Viet Nam became an APEC member in 1998.

Peru will host APEC 2016 on November 19 - 20 in its capital of Lima.
