More strength given to AO victims

VGP – The “Orange Day” Program to be launched on August 10 will mark the beginning of a large-scale campaign to raise VND 60 billion for Agent Orange victims.

The “Orange Day” Program is aimed at supporting the AO victims in the struggle to require the US to mitigate the dioxin-caused consequences in Việt Nam.

The Program will be broadcasted by VTV4, 65 local television stations and 15 international channels to campaign for the AO victims’ better future.

The event will kick-start the whip-round of VND 60 billion for building 55 rehabilitation centers and 550 houses, granting 1,100 scholarships and generating 1,100 jobs for the victims. 

Some activities of the "Orange Day" Program 2009:

August 10: VTV4 broadcasts news, reportages, interviews, documentaries, scientific films, talk-shows on AO victims. 

The live gala "Justice and the Heart" on VTV1 and VTV4, August 8 (or 9) in Hà Nội. 

"Charitable messages": “izvava” sent to 8788 to raise money for AO victims.
