The statement was made in response to reporters’ query on Viet Nam’s reaction to the thermonuclear bomb test by the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea on January 6.

Viet Nam is deeply concerned over the hydrogen bomb test which violated the UN Security Council’s relevant resolutions, intensified tensions, and threatened peace and stability in the region, the Spokesman said.
