NZ to pour some U$130 million in ASEAN
VGP – New Zealand will invest US$131 million in ASEAN, announced PM John Key at the ASEAN-New Zealand Commemorative Summit held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on November 22.

This is part of the agreement on upgrading the relations between ASEAN and New Zealand to strategic level.
The funding will be disbursed within three years, focusing on capacity improvement and building linkages between regional leaders and businessmen.
He said New Zealand, which celebrated its 40th anniversary of diplomatic relations with ASEAN this year, currently contributed NZ$50 million (about US$32.68 million) annually for ASEAN capacity building, mostly through scholarships./.
