The National Assembly's question-and-answer session, Ha Noi, November 16, 2015

The event is different from the previous ones as its lists of Government members and matters subjected to inquiry are not fixed. Earlier, the National Assembly used to collect comments from deputies before selecting the Government members as well as groups of issues to be entitled to the interpellation.

Addressing the opening session on Monday, NA Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung announced that since the beginning of the year, the NA has issued nine resolutions for executive agencies, the PM, Deputy PMs, Chief Judge of the Supreme People's Court, ministers, Prosecutor General of the Supreme People's Procuracy, and State management relating to State President and NA Chairman.

The top legislator said that the interpellation session targets to review supervising and interpellation activities of the NA; and promote the effective operation of the State apparatus from the central to local levels.

He proposed deputies focus on the main points so voters could assess the operation of the legislative, executive and judicial branches.

Deputy PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc, Chief Judge of the Supreme People's Court Truong Hoa Binh, and Prosecutor General of the Supreme People's Procuracy Nguyen Hoa Binh presented reports on implementation of NA’s resolution on supervision and interpellation activities./.
