VN, Cambodia hold defense policy dialogue

VGP – The first defense policy dialogue between Viet Nam and Cambodia are taking pace in the latter from October 18-20 as part of the two countries’ 2015 defense cooperation plan.

Both sides are expected to discuss and evaluate impacts of the regional and international situation on the bilateral ties.

The two sides also review their defense relations over the past time and seek measures to boost cooperation, especially in information sharing, training, delegation exchange, border security protection and management, smuggling combat, humanitarian rescue within the framework of ASEAN Defense Ministers’ Meeting and ASEAN Defense Ministers’ Meeting Plus

During their stay in Cambodia, the Vietnamese delegation, led by Deputy Minister Nguyen Chi Vinh, will pay courtesy calls to the Cambodian PM and Defense Minister./.
