Int’l food, beverage exhibition opens in HCM City

VGP - The 19th international exhibition on food, beverages and processing and packaging technology kicked off in Ho Chi Minh City on September 9, gathering around 350 businesses from 20 nations and territories in the specific fields.

The four-day exhibition showcasing the latest products, ranging from fruit and vegetables, processed food and drinks, processing and preservation machines and technology for the food and beverage industry.

On display are food, processed foodstuff, beer, soft drink and equipment to process and preserve food and beverages.

A beverage fest is taking place concurrently with the exhibition, attracting the participation of prestigious companies such as the Saigon Beer Alcohol Beverage Corporation (Sabeco), the Ha Noi Alcohol Beer and Beverage Company (Habeco), the Viet Nam Brewery Limited and the Viet Nam Coca Cola company.

A trade seminar is also scheduled, providing participating businesses with updated information on market trends, products and service as well as an opportunity to expand their trade promotion and investment.

Head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade’s southern operations department Pham Thi Thanh Minh highlighted the annual expo as important revenue for domestic and foreign enterprises to seek partners and expand markets.

Co-hosted by the Ministry of Industry and Trade; the HCM City Food and Foodstuff Association; the Viet Nam Beer, Beverage and Alcohol Association; and the Viet Nam Tea Association.
