PM agrees to readjust area of Tân Bình IP in Hồ Chí Minh City

VNGOP – PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng permitted on May 28 to readjust the scope and area of the Tân Bình Industrial Park, Hồ Chí Minh City, as proposed by the Hồ Chí Minh City People's Committee and recommendations from the ministries of Planning and Investment (MPI), and Construction (MoC).

The PM assigned the Chairperson of the Hồ Chí Minh City People's Committee to decide the readjustments. The investors and other relevant bodies must take into account the MoC's recommendations.

The Tân Bình IP Project was started in 1998 in Tây Thạnh and Sơn Kỳ Wards, Tân Phú District. However, due to the rapid urbanization and land price escalation, the policies on compensation and resettlement become out-of-dated. Thus, the City People's Committee directed and entrusted the Hồ Chí Minh City Management Board of export processing zones and industrial parks to conduct surveys on the spot and readjust the IP's area.
