VN-Mongolia Inter-governmental Committee convenes its 12th meeting

VNGOVNet – The 12th Meeting of the Vietnam-Mongolia Intergovernmental Committee on economic, trade, scientific and technical cooperation took place in Ulan Bator from December 18 to 21. The Vietnamese delegation was headed by Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Bùi Bá Bổng, Chairman of the Committee's Vietnam Subcommittee. The Mongolian delegation was headed by Minister of Transport and Tourism Ts. Tsengel, Head of the Mongolia Subcommittee.

At the meeting, the two sides informed each other of the socio-economic development situation in each country and discussed orientations and solutions to put into practice the agreements reached in the 11th meeting. The two sides agreed to further the exchange of traditional commodities of their strength for US$5 million in bilateral trade turnover in the coming years.

The two sides also discussed proper ways and measures to strengthen bilateral cooperation in husbandry, cultivation, infrastructure construction, joint-venture processing, science-technology, education and training, culture and arts, healthcare, and tourism.
