Vietnamese investors to build 1,410 MW hydro power plant in Laos

VNGOP – Under a decision dated on October 26 by PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng, a group of Vietnamese investors will be established soon to put into reality the 1,410 MW Luang Prabang Hydro-electricity Project in Laos.

The PM entrusted the Sông Đà Corporation to function as the major implementer, collaborating with the Việt Nam Oil and Gas Group (PetroVietnam), Việt Nam Electricity (EVN), the Bank of Investment and Development (BIDV) and some qualified State-run enterprises, to found the group, conduct preparatory work and realize the Luang Prabang Project in line with the current regulations on investment.

The ministries of Industry and Trade, Planning and Investment, Construction and other competent ministries are responsible for instructing the Sông Đà Corporation and relevant units to fulfill their assignments.
