In the friendly, candid and mutually understanding atmosphere, the two sides discussed specific measures to complete the border-mark placement at six border-gates within 2006 as directed by the Prime Ministers of the two countries and the overall Vietnam-Cambodia plan on land demarcation and border-mark placement.

The two sides ratified the technical norms exclusively designed for borderline drawing when switching from Map Bonne 1/100,000 attached to Treaty 1985 to Map UTM 1/50,000 and the plan to place border-marks at five border-gates: Xà Xia (Kiên Giang)-Lok (Kampot); Bô Nuê (Bình Phước)-Snoul (Kratie); Tịnh Biên (An Giang)-Phnom Den (Takeo); Xa Mát (Tây Ninh)-Trapeang Phlong (Kampong Cham); and Lệ Thanh (Gia Lai)-Andong Pech (Ratanakiri). They also agreed to dispatch experts to locate positions for placement at these border-gates and carry out more discussions in the future on the continued placement at Thường Phước (Đồng Tháp)-Vĩnh Xương (An Giang)-Kouk Roka (Prey Veng)-Kaoh Samno (Kandal) border gate.
