Minister Vũ Văn Ninh wins Year Finance Minister 2007

VNGOP – Finance Minister Vũ Văn Ninh was just recognized by a well-known UK magazine as “Finance Minister of the Year in Asia for 2007”. This reflects the international community’s acknowledgement of Việt Nam’s progression in economic reforms and macroeconomic management to become the second highest growing country in Asia.

UK Ambassador Mark Kent grants honor to Minister Vũ Văn Ninh

On February 20, in Hà Nội, the title was conferred to Minister Vũ Văn Ninh as nominated by The Banker of Financial Times Group.

In 2007, Việt Nam’s financial system was further consolidated and strengthened through programs to renew banking system and State-run enterprises as well as set up legal framework in order to develop a safe and effective capital market.

Minister Vũ Văn Ninh pledged to deeper engage himself in managing macroeconomic policies and realizing economic renovation programs.

Addressing the ceremony, UK Ambassador to Việt Nam Mark Kent highly spoke of Việt Nam’s economic growth and investment environment. He also revealed that many British businesses are much interested in Việt Nam.
