The heritages are Dao Mau, a Vietnamese ritual dedicated to Mother Goddess, and the traditional tug of war.

The PM has assigned the MCST to cooperate with authorized agencies of the Republic of Korea, Cambodia and the Philippines to complete the document of the traditional tug of war to submit to the UNESCO.

The ”Dao Mau” refers to the worship of Mother Goddesses in Viet Nam. In the beginning, the worship depicted representations of nature like the Goddess of the earth, water, and mountain, later, princesses, queens, and female founders of craft villages were honored and worshipped by the local people as Mother Goddesses. The image of the Mother Goddess is very familiar to Vietnamese people in their spiritual life.
