Nine export items join US$1 bln club

VGP – Nine products recorded an export value of more than US$1 billion till March 15, showing two more joining the US$1 billion export club than the same period last year, according to the Viet Nam Customs.

Phones and accessories topped the list with US$4.457 billion, US$870 million higher than the same period in 2013.

Garments and textiles ranked second with US$3.663 billion, making a year-on-year increase of US$550 million, followed by computers, electronics and spare parts US$1.772 billion, footwear US$1.758 billion, vehicles US$1.4 billion, aquaculture US$1.3 billion, crude oil US$1.249 billion, machines and equipment US$1.2 billion, and wood products US$1.163 billion.

As of March 15, Viet Nam’s total export turnover reached nearly US$27 billion.
