Leaders receives Kyrgyz FM

VGP – PM Nguyen Tan Dung and Deputy PM, FM Pham Binh Minh on Tuesday in Ha Noi separately received Kyrgyz FM Abdyldaev Erlan Bekeshovich who is on working visit to Viet Nam.

PM Dung suggested that Viet Nam and Kyrgyzstan early sign economic agreements to create a legal foundation for speeding up their trade-investment relations while meeting with the Kyrgyz FM.  

Viet Nam and Kyrgyzstan should establish joint ventures in production to boost exports to the Customs Union of Belarus, Kazakhstan and Russia, said Mr. Dung.

The host leader also proposed that the two sides talk ways to spur education-training and cultural linkages.

For his part, Minister Abdyldaev Erlan Bekeshovich emphasized that Kyrgyzstan places importance on the relations with Viet Nam particularly in economics, trade, investment and culture.

Kyrgyzstan moving to join the Customs Union of Belarus, Kazakhstan and Russia will be an opportunity for the two sides to strengthen ties in economics, trade and investment.

The same day, Deputy PM Pham Binh Minh held talks with the Kyrgyz FM.  

Deputy PM Minh stated that Viet Nam always places importance on cooperation with its traditional friends, including Kyrgyzstan.

The two sides held that in spite of the geographical distance, the traditional friendship has been nurtured and well developed, especially in politics and diplomacy. 

Host and guest agreed to increase all-level delegation exchanges.

The two sides also discussed a number of measures to enhance bilateral cooperation in various fields as well as ways to work together at multilateral forums such as the United Nations. 

They agreed to speed up negotiations for agreements on economics, trade, investment and finance to create a legal foundation for stronger cooperation in economic, culture, sports, tourism and education between the two nations.

After the talks, the two sides signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation between the two Foreign Ministries.

As part of his working visit from February 17-20, the visiting minister also met with Chairman of the National Assembly’s Committee for External Affairs Tran Van Hang, and Minister of Industry and Trade Vu Huy Hoang./.
