State President Sang, for his part, described the Chinese Premier’s visit as the demonstration of the respect of the Chinese State and the Premier himself for the relationship with Viet Nam.

He highly valued the outcomes of the talks between the two PMs and applauded the establishment of the Working Groups on infrastructure, monetary cooperation and marine cooperation in the framework of the Governmental negotiation group on the Viet Nam-China border.

The State President said he expected that the two sides will maintain high-ranking visits, launch the Action Plan on realizing Viet Nam-China comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership and accelerate bilateral trade in a healthy and stable manner.

Regarding the sea issue, the Vietnamese leader stressed that the two sides need to well control the situation and deal with differences peacefully based on the international law as well as boost up the negotiation on waters off the Tonkin Gulf.

He urged both sides to actively seek transitional solutions that are equally acceptable and do not affect each side's stance.
