Gtel Mobile – A new choice for mobile users

VGP – Việt Nam’s GTel and Russian Vimpel-Com Group inked on July 8 in Hà Nội a joint-venture contract on establishing the Gtel Mobile Company.

The birth of Gtel Mobile marks a new development in the traditional friendship between Việt Nam and Russia. This is also one of strategic cooperation activities agreed by the two governments. Gtel Mobile pledged to do its utmost to become a prestigious and popular mobile operator in Việt Nam.

Deputy Minister of Public Security Đặng Văn Hiếu asserted at the signing ceremony that the establishment of Gtel Mobile will help to diversify telecommunication services in Việt Nam, contributing to the country’s socio-economic development.

It was reported that Gtel Mobile is the seventh mobile operators in Việt Nam, after Vinaphone, MobileFone, Viettel, Hanoi Telecom, Sphone, and EVN Telecome.

GTel was founded on November 1, 2007. Together with its partners, GTel is providing clients and final users with various telecom services, including mobile and fixed phone, broad-band internet, information security services, and software.
