ASEAN tourism forum 2009 – A chance to promote tourist potential
VGP – The ASEAN Tourism Forum 2009 (ATF 09) under the theme “ASEAN Tourism - Striving for a new height” will take place in Hà Nội on January 5-12. For the first time, Việt Nam hosts the biggest tourist event within ASEAN cooperation.

ATF 09 is a good chance to heighten Việt Nam’s image |
In the framework of ATF 09, there will be meetings of ASEAN Tourism Ministers and between them and dialogue partners, meetings of leaders of national tourism agencies and of the ASEAN working group for tourism integration, fairs and conferences.
ATF 09 will draw the participation of 1,500 international delegates, 400 travel companies from North America, Northeast Asia, Europe and Australia, hundreds of press agencies, and thousands of visitors. Thus, the event is a golden opportunity to introduce the land and people of Việt Nam as well as tourist potentialities.
Through ATF 09, domestic tourist companies can establish and expand their cooperation with foreign partners, especially those from such large markets as China, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, Russia and India.
As the host of this event, Hà Nội’s authority is actively completing the preparatory work. “We are designing specific cultural and art programs to serve international visitors", revealed an official from the Hà Nội Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
