Accordingly, ADB pledged to provide a US $26-million loan for the construction of two highways, Hà Nội-Lạng Sơn (120 km) and Hạ Long-Móng Cái (120km).

The project on the Bến Lức-Long Thành highway (60 km) will be granted with a non-refundable aid of US $1.5 million by the Japanese Government.

Such projects will serve to socio-economic development in the key economic zones in North and South Việt Nam; and attract foreign investors and tourist to the provinces and cities which the highways run through.

Located within the program “Two corridors-one economic belt” between Việt Nam and China, the two routes of Hà Nội-Lạng Sơn and Hạ Long-Móng Cái will definitely facilitate trade exchanges between Northern provinces and China’s Guangxi Province.
