Economic and trade cooperation sped up between VN and Russia

VNGOP – A meeting was held on May 10-11 in Hanoi between the Deputy Chair of the Vietnamese Subcommittee, Deputy Trade Minister Lê Danh Vĩnh and his Russian counterpart D.I. Sukhaparov to discuss on economic, trade, scientific and technical cooperation.

The two sides agreed to make a common draft "List of prioritized tasks to boost the Vietnam-Russia strategic partnership in 2007" complied by Russia under the initiative raised by the Russian Federation President V. Putin in his meeting with Vietnamese PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng in November 2006. The two sides also discussed some other issues to develop bilateral relationship and cooperation as well as prepared the concerned issues for the meeting of the Co-chairs of the Vietnam-Russia Intergovernmental Committee scheduled in mid-June 2007.

During their stay in Vietnam, the Russian delegation was received by Vietnamese Industrial Minister Hoàng Thanh Hải who is the Chair of the Vietnamese Subcommittee.
