VN conveys sympathy to US over Virginia mass shooting

VNGOP – State President Nguyễn Minh Triết sent on April 18 his consolatory message to US President G.Bush over the tragedy at Virginia Tech. In his message, President Nguyễn Minh Triết extended his deep sympathy and condolences to the victims' families and Virginia Tech.

Answering journalists' questions about Vietnam's response to the massacre, Vietnamese Foreign Ministry Spokesman Lê Dũng said on April 19: "We feel extreme grief over the April 16 tragedy at Virginia Tech of the US, that claimed 32 lives, most of them being students. We would like to send our condolences to the victims' families and the American people".
