Four Guinness records for Ba Na cable car

VGP – Totally invested with €30 million, the third cable car routes in Ba Na tourism complex is scheduled to be operational on March 29, serving 1,500 passengers per hour.

This will be the only cable car in the world making four Guinness records: longest non-stop cable car (5,771.61m); highest non-stop cable car (1,368.93m); longest non-stop cable (11,587m); and most heavy cable coil (141.24 tons).

Thanks to the route, it is expected to take only 17 minutes to travel from the mountain foot up to the peak. There are 86 open cars carrying 10 passengers each at the rate of 6m per second.

Ba Na Mountain is located in Hoa Ninh Commune, Hoa Vang District of the central city of Da Nang. Its tourism center is headquartered atop of the Chua Mount at the altitude of 1,489m above the sea level.

Ba Na is famous for its important biodiversity and tourism values, featured with a flora of 136 families, 379 branches and over 543 species (including 251 herbal species) and a fauna of 61 beast species, 178 bird species and 17 reptile species.

The site was recognized by the Government as a natural reserve in 1986.
