DPM calls for investments from Switzerland

VGP – Deputy PM Nguyen Thien Nhan has called on Swiss investors to pour investments in such fields like finance-banking, insurance and jewelry in Viet Nam.

Deputy PM Nhan made the call during his meeting with the Chief of the Federal Department of Economic Affairs Johann Schneider-Ammann.

The Deputy PM also asked Switzerland to assist Viet Nam in training workforce for finance-banking and tourism sector.

Earlier at the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting 2011 in Davos, Switzerland pledged to help train finance-banking experts for Viet Nam.

Currently, Switzerland is one of Viet Nam’s major economic partners in Europe with the two-way trade reaching nearly US$3 billion in 2011.

Minister Johann Sheneider –Ammann said that he will lead a business delegation to Viet Nam in 2013 to seek investment opportunities.

On the same day, Deputy PM Nhan also met with Chief of the Federal Department of Home Affairs Alain Berset.
