Instructing people to raise Mesocyclops to kill mosquito larva

The € 302,071 project will be carried out for three years since the approval. Its corresponding capital is the available human resource and facilities.

The Ministry of Health was entrusted to sign the documents with the donor and realize the project under the current regulations.

In 1999, the Petechial Fever Preventiong Program was ratified by the Government as a national-level project. Earlier, in 1998, the National Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology and the Australian Foundation for the Peoples of Asia and the Pacific (AFAP) launched a community-based cooperation project on preventing petechial fever using bio-agent Mesocyclops in six communes of six northern and central provinces. The project helped to reduce 99.7-100 percent of the vector mosquito population, so that no patient was founded. To date, this project has been developed in many northern and central localities.
