PM okays to found organization board of ACMECS Meeting 3 and CLMV Meeting 4

VNGOP – To hold the 3rd Ayeyawady–Chao Phraya–Mekong Economic Cooperation Strategy (ACMECS) Summit, the 4th Cambodia-Laos-Myanmar-Việt Nam (CLMV) Meeting and the relevant meetings on October 23-26 in Việt Nam, the PM has just made Decision 1238/QĐ-TTg to establish the Committee to prepare and organize the meetings (ACMECS and CLMV Organization Committee).

ACMECS Summit 2005

Deputy Foreign Minister Vũ Dũng is the Chairman of the Organization Committee which consists of five sub-committees in charge of content, reception, information, logistics and security. The heads of these subcommittees should set up working plans in line with the roadmap approved by the Government.

The Committee’s standing body is the Secretariat. The Committee will regularly convene its plenary session once per month. In necessary cases, the Chairman can convene unscheduled sessions.
