Russian fund wants to invest in Vietnamese software

VGP - Softline Venture Partners, a Russian investment fund, has said it wants to invest in software projects in Việt Nam, including feasible good ideas about information technology.

The fund can invest up to US $1 million in each project. In the short term, it is eyeing enterprises and independent programmers that have good ideas or initiatives in software development.

The fund’s director said it has realized great potential and rosy prospects of Vietnamese programmers in particular and the country’s software industry in general.

Moscow-based Softline Venture Partners, which was established in December 2008, is considering investment in some 160 projects.
