VGP - Bách Khoa Internetwork Security Center (Bkis) became an official member of the Business Software Alliance (BSA). From now on, software made by Bkis will be protected both in Việt Nam and around the world.

As a member of BSA, Bkis will join the organization’s activities in Việt Nam, raise recommendations to the Government and join hands in outlining strategies to protect software copyright in Việt Nam. So that Bkis will develop more strongly and its products can penetrate into the world market.

Bkis and BSA’s members will open on August 27-28 training courses on investigating software copyright infringement for inspectors from the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and some northern provinces. Bkis once cooperated with Microsoft, AutoDesk and PPC to provide the similar courses in the South.

Bkis’ admission to the BSA is considered as an important contribution to Việt Nam’s efforts in increasing domestic users and business’s awareness of software copyright as well as preventing intellectual property violations.

Bkis was established in 2001 at the Hà Nội University of Technology. It is aimed at assisting competent agencies to improve their capacity, nurture workforce and establish the legal corridor against cyber criminals.

The Center also cooperates with international and regional cyber security organizations to deal with computer problems and share information about cyber security.

Bkis is the co-founder of the Asian pacific Computer Emergency Response Teams (APCERT).
