Ninh Bình eyes rapid and sustainable development

The PM said the province needs to bring into full play its activeness, creativeness, potentiality and advantages, mobilize and use effectively inside and outside human resources to make breakthroughs in developing its economy rapidly and sustainably.

Ninh Bình Province also has to boost its economic structure shift towards modernization and effectiveness by applying scientific and technological advances in production, making high value products, pushing up international integration, seeking for new markets and promoting tourism, he added.

PM Dũng asked the province to closely cooperate with other cities and provinces in the Red River Delta and the Central North to establish a synchronous infrastructure for the development of the regions.

In addition, the province has to pay due attention to education and training, especially vocational training as well as improve the capacity of medical stations to better serve local people.

The work of strengthening national defense and security, dealing with complaints, speeding up anti-corruption, preventing social evils and crimes as well as protecting people’s lives will also be focused on, confirmed the PM. 

In recent five years, Ninh Bình Province registered an annual growth rate of 16.5%. The Gross Domestic Products (GDP) in 2010 doubled the 2005 figure.

In 2011, the province attained growth rate of 16%, 2.5 times higher than the national growth rate.
