NA Standing Committee wraps up 6th session

VGP – The 6th session of the National Assembly Standing Committee closed on March 28 in Hà Nội after one week of sitting.

The session saw interpellation being televised live nationwide for the first time.

NA Chairman Nguyễn Sinh Hùng said the televised question-and-answer sessions, such as the one with Health Minister Nguyễn Thị Kim Tiến and Home Affairs Minister Nguyễn Thái Bình on March 23, helped voters to understand the performance of the two ministries and supervise the operation of the Government and even the National Assembly.

Vice NA Chairman Huỳnh Ngọc Sơn was asked to draw lessons from this interpellation to further improve the following ones.

The same day, the NA Standing Committee voted on the Ordinance on assessment fees and expenditures for witnesses and translators in proceedings./.
