Courts asked to focus on raising trial quality

VGP - State President Trương Tấn Sang asked courts to focus on raising trial quality at a conference to launch the court sector’s work in 2012 in Hồ Chí Minh City on January 3.

At the conference, State President Trương Tấn Sang, Head of the Steering Committee for Central Juridical Reform, stressed that the court sector should centre on raising the quality of judges to minimize the number of unjust verdicts and not to let cases overdue…

The sector should also reform salary policies and train a contingent of court professionals who are proficent in working for to defend national sovereignty and interests at regional and international jurisdiction institutions  during the country’s international integration…

On the occasion, the Supreme People’s Court held a ceremony to receive the Hồ Chí Minh Medal. The First-Class Independence Medal of the Party and the State was posthumosly awarded to the late Vice Chief Judges of the Supreme People’s Court , Mr. Lê Giản and Ms. Lê Thị Phương Hằng, respectively.
