NA starts interpellation on Gov’t performance

Five Ministers subjected to answer questions from NA deputies include Transport Minister Đinh La Thăng, Agriculture and Rural Development Minister Cao Đức Phát, Education and Training Minister Phạm Vũ Luận, Finance Minister Vương Đình Huệ and Governor of the State Bank of Việt Nam (SBV) Nguyễn Văn Bình.

Accordingly, the Transport Minister is responsible for answering questions on solutions to reduce traffic accidents nationwide, ease traffic jams in big cities; to speed up construction progress and quality of transport projects; to improve quality of downgraded transport works in the context of decreasing investment from state budget.

The Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development is in charge of responding to a series of questions on investment policy on agriculture, rural areas and peasants; building of a high-tech agriculture; shaping of brand names for Vietnamese agricultural products; restructuring and renovating of management model in enterprises and farms; and solutions to climate change mitigation and preservation of 3.8-million hectare rice field in 2020. 

Education and Training Minister Phạm Vũ Luận will clarify the education quality at all levels; the problems of inadequate material facilities at schools, especially in far-reaching areas, private teaching and learning, and education fees.

Finance Minister Vương Đình Huệ will make clear issues on price management work of petrol, coal, electricity, and public services in accordance with the socialist-oriented market economy; impacts of prices on businesses and people’s life, measures to increase budget collection, prevent loss of revenue, overspending and public debts and ensure financial security.

SBV Governor Nguyễn Văn Bình will respond to inquiries about measures to restructure and ensure the safety of the banking system; manage and inspect commercial banks; punish infringements of credit organizations and banking staff and combat inflation to avoid a possible recession.

Finally, PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng will be the last to answer NA deputies./.
