VN, Palau set up diplomatic relations

VGP - Vietnamese and Palauan Ambassadors to the Philippines Vũ Xuân Trường and Ramon Rechebei on August 18 signed a joint statement on setting up the Việt Nam-Palau diplomatic relations.

According to the statement, the two countries will start their official diplomatic ties on August 18. Mr. Vũ Xuân Trường and Mr. Ramon Rechebei were appointed as non-resident Ambassadors to the Republic of Palau and Việt Nam respectively.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, the two Ambassadors expressed their confidence that the event will pay the way for bilateral multifaceted cooperation, especially in economy, contributing to peace, stability and development in the region.
