Standing Deputy PM Nguyễn Sinh Hùng confers

the First Prize on Vương Bá Quý

Standing Deputy PM Nguyễn Sinh Hùng said so in a ceremony held in Hanoi in the evening of January 01, 2007 to celebrate the creations joining the Competition Vietnamese Intelligence 7. The ceremony was attended by leaders of the Vietnamese Communist Party and Government and a large number of students who are fond of information technology.

Since 1999, the Vietnamese Intelligence co-organized by Lao Động (Labor) Newspaper, Vietnam Television and FPT Corporation has become a playing ground for Vietnamese young talents full of ambitions and creativity and willing to devote themselves to the country’s process of industrialization and modernization. Many of the creations have been put into practice to make life easier. With 32 creators and 12 products coming to the final, the 7th competition proves that Vietnamese youths are strongly passionate for IT and that Vietnam stands a chance of bridging its IT gap with the world.

The First Prize was awarded by Standing Deputy PM Nguyễn Sinh Hùng to the product "System of writing, identifying and calculating mathematic expressions" created by Vương Bá Quý from Hải Phòng. This is a software program providing a convenient tool to write instant mathematic expressions, identify hand-written expressions and do mathematic calculations. Moreover, the product can personalize handwriting and correct handwriting mistakes. Apart from the PC version, this software can operate in the website environment, making it possible for users to run it on all Internet-connected computers.
