The project will be realized within three years from March 2018 to February 2021, with a view to protecting 15,000 children and youth at three districts of Son Tra, Cam Le and Hai Chau from sexual abuse through cyber network.

The project is worth more than US$728,000, including the corresponding capital of US$32,000 from the city’s People’s Committee and other resources mobilized from individuals, organizations and businesses to increase the effectiveness and sustainability of the project.

The project aims to review and propose measures on amending policies on information technology, communicate on protection of children and youth from sexual abuse, organize training courses for related ministries and agencies and conferences on sharing experiences on preventing child sexual abuse.

The United Nations Children's Fund, the World Vision International from New Zealand and Viet Nam are responsible for launching the project.
